(last night's in studio dinner...Veggie Lover's Pizza Mia, in case u were wondering. I know u weren't but....)

Not only is that the pizza i ate last nite while recording GRIA 2, but that picture is also a pretty accurate representation of where i am at with the project. (98% done, approx 2 songs left, maybe 3)

Last night i completed two songs ("You Love Me/She Hates Me" & "Finally") making the tracklisting right now at 12. (Cut a song here & there, added a song here & there, etc.etc.)

This morning around 9am i went for a white chocolate mocha @ Starbucks (not to be confused with the homie Starbuks who doesn't sell Coffee. That Starbuks sells rap CD's and from what i'm hearing, Hot Dogs & Hot Pockets from his mobile Snack Shack @ the U of O campus! Get that $ S.T!) and was listening to what is complete of GRIA 2 and i could sit here & suck it's dick all day (No homo) telling you how dope this project's going to be but...i'll let the shit sell itself (well i guess SELL isn't the correct word seeings how i give that shit out for free on 907hiphop.com! Damn i'ma fuckin nice guy!)

i may even push up the release (right now, July is the date but that could possibly change to June...it's highly possible) cuz things are going so smoothly...

Last night, Eminem’s Twitter displayed a message saying that Relapse 2 was no more, presumably because of a name change. It made sense because at first Relapse 2 was going to be comprised of all the songs that were created at the same time as Relapse, but that didn’t end up on the first project. But then they went and threw all of those songs on The Refill. Now that (what was once) Relapse 2 has started to take the shape of a full body of work, they’ve decided a name-change will reflect that this is now a project that can stand on its own, but is still somehow linked to Em’s last album.

The first single is produced by Jim Jonsin, and as of right now, the album also has production by Just Blaze, Boi-1da and DJ Khalil.

Eminem’s Recovery drops June 22nd.

Quick History Lesson for NEW Tubby listeners:
Between 2002-2007, i put out a series of mixtapes called "Philmatic" (the title comes from Phil Tubbs, which is one of my nicknames/aliases, which ultimately evolved into the name Tubby + Illmatic, a classic album that if you don't know what that is, then i'ma have to ask you to leave my blogsite). The Philmatic mixtape series (1-6) helped build my buzz in the local Alaskan hip hop community as well as The Hellrazors (my group) & Shorty Roc (who rode shotgun with me throughout the Philmatic tapes) & my DJ, 50/50.

Around 2007, I began recording the 7th & final installment of The Philmatic Mixtape series (Philmatic 7), but after only recording a few songs, I got distracted by side projects ("The Greatest Rapper in Alaska pt.1", "The Deadly Alliance" thing, "The Razor's Edge" album that never dropped, among others) and eventually just ended up losing all desire to continue the series...

However I was going through some old songs that were never released and I fell upon what would have been the intro to Philmatic 7. I recorded this song, i wanna say, sometime in 2007 (possibly earlier), and since i never finished the project, the song just sat in my hard drive for years, until now....

The theme to Philmatic 7 was going to revolve around the #7 (My favorite number by the way, not like you give a fuck but...). I was intending on only recording 7 tracks (i think i only recorded 4 songs for it, 2 of which ended up on "Allow Me To Re-Introduce Myself") and even had planned on placing movie bytes from the movie "Se7en" (which is one of my favorite movies btw, not like you give a fuck buuuut...) but like i said, i got sidetracked with other projects and now with the GRIA series making waves, along with other projects I got lined up ("Dreams & Nightmares", "Deadly Alliance", "Mission From God LP", "GRIA3", etc) i just don't have any desire to continue the Philmatic thing anymore....But i figured i'd atleast pull out this lil doobie from the vaults for yall to hear.

The song is called "Se7en" and it's about...you guessed it, the number 7 (what an exciting song concept huh? *Fart*)

It's just an intro, but I liked the song & wanted to give you a lil behind the scenes insight as to what could've been, but probably never will...So, ladies & gentlemen, i give you, the intro to the project that you will never get to hear: "Se7en"

2nite I'm doing something i haven't done in awhile...writing music. (Feels good to be back!)

just finished a song, most likely going to be on GRIA2. Tentatively titled, "Finally"...very, umm...personal. GRIA2 has alot of ur typical Tubby: Battle Raps/Violent Rap (Murdering MCs/Women/Children/Bitch Asses/Silly shit/Etc), a couple "club/uptempo" tracks: ("Everywhere I Go", "Do It Big") but i'm definitely going to have some "real shit", some personal tracks (Already got one called "Unforgiven") but this one will definitely shed some light on some issues, and should definitely have certain people talking, and certain people maybe even a lil upset/hurt...*shrug* (I just make the music, interpret how you will...)

Feels good to be writing again. I'll be meeting up with my new "Go-To-Guy" engineer/producer extraordinare Raw Beatz (www.twitter.com/RawBeatzz) this time next month to finish recording the last few remaining songs for GRIA 2 (as well as a couple other "side projects") so, definitely expect ALOT more from me this year than you have been...and expect even GREATER music than before.
