i haven't spoken to my Deadly Alliance co-d & close friend in a couple weeks...I haven't been able to get in touch w/his family so I don't know exactly what the details are (Dizzy-D, get at me ASAP!) but for those who don't know, The State of Oregon has a very scary statute called a "Measure 11" (read the link to know more about Measure 11 Crimes ->)http://www.msplinks.com/MDFodHRwOi8vZW4ud2lraXBlZGlhLm9yZy93aWtpL09yZWdvbl9CYWxsb3RfTWVhc3VyZV8xMV8oMTk5NCk= which basically states that a 2nd degree assault (something as simple as duffin a dickhead at a bar and breaking his nose, something very typical & not a big deal in Alaska) has a MANDATORY mininum sentence of 5 years 10 months (NOT even a judge can minimize this! SCARY!) and according to Dizzy's bulletin, that's exactly what they are charging Mr.Cofey with (even tho, according to Dizzy, he didn't even throw a punch, it's racist out there in The Big O, they aren't too fond of black males, especially a guy who's already in the system out there).Hopefully Dizzy will hit me up and lemme know what happened, til then, let's just keep our fingers crossed & pray this gets resolved & the homie gets to go home to his children and back to work in the studio...FREE STARBUKS, and Fuck MEASURE 11 (stupid fuckin law!)

note: last time i was in Eugene, I was at a bar talking to some random guy about tattoo's, he had a bunch as well. He told me he got all his ink done at OSP (Oregon State Prison) and that he had just gotten released a couple weeks prior and was getting re-adjusted to society & regular life. I asked him what he had done and he said he was at a party and a guy was groping on a female friend of his and harassing her so he punched the guy ONE TIME in the face which knocked dude out and when the dude fell his face hit the ground which ended up breaking his jaw and fucking his face up...Dude got hit with a Measure 11 and was sentenced to 5 years, 10 months...prior to that, homeboy had never been to jail EVER! Now he's 30-something years old, no job history, socially fucked up and forever apart of the system...all over 1 punch which was probably done rightfully so...So like i said: stupid fuckin law!

i was gonna post some blogs & start on that facebook page but i gotta make some calls...shit can wait.
