Skitzophrenia! (The Expansion of 907hiphop.com!)

The newest member to the 907hiphop.com family.... Skitzo Scoe!

Ladies & Gents, i am super proud to share the name of the newest member of the 907hiphop.com family! His name: Skitzo Scoe (of the Anchorage rap group & label U.N.D.B/Out Da Cutt Entertainment). Now, if you follow me & my music (especially over the last year and some change) you have probably noticed I do a lot of music/work with the Anchorage, AK crew, Out Da Cutt (ODC). Skitzo Scoe is one of their premiere artists and one of my personal favorite rappers in Alaska. I've known of him for awhile through mutual friends (his cousin Jack is a long time high school buddy of mine and has been puttin me onto Scoe before Scoe even started rapping seriously) but over the last year we've spent a lot of time together in the studio (and partying!). He's a few years younger than me & has all the drive & passion for this music shit that I had at his age, and still to this day. He's the ONE artist I can say is in the studio as long, as late and as much as I am. He's truly into this music shit. That is hard to find nowadays...

Scoe is now working on developing himself as a solo artist (while still down and loyal to UNDB/Out Da Cutt) and reached out to me awhile back and we both thought it would be in both of our interests to work with each other! The deal is simple. I will help him with his solo endeavors (recording, marketing & promoting, touring) and he will promote & push 907hiphop.com as his management team & extended family (outside of ODC, which is still the label & crew he is primarily under) Plus, we both have a nice little loyal fanbase and cross promotion is never a bad thing. So, what does this mean? Well, you can expect to see alot more of Skitzo Scoe on upcoming Tubby/Blade Gang/907hiphop.com projects (Hellrazor TV webisodes, videos, musical releases, etc.) as well as his own solo projects produced & promoted by 907hiphop.com and hopefully this is just the 1st of many successful partnerships between 907hiphop.com and other independent driven artists looking to expand their music & brand. After years of pushing The Hellrazors (many of whom were personal friends of mine who lacked the motivation, passion for music and drive that I have) I've decided to rebuild my team from scratch. Besides DNA (Danja & A-Class) and myself (Tubby) as a solo artist, 907hiphop.com & Blade Gang Music, as the musical branch, needs a re-boot. So over the next several months, expect expansion. Expect growth. Expect evolution!!! This deal is the FIRST of many to come & the music that 907hiphop.com will provide to everyone in the next several years will be legendary! I look at this as the beginning of the next chapter of Hellrazor (Blade Gang) and I am very optimistic about where we're headed. Skitzo Scoe + DNA + Tubby... I just got back to my desk after driving around aimlessly w/my homie Willie, smoking high grade marijuana thru an apple (i eat mine afterwards. weird i know) & drinkin R&R whiskey in red plastic cups while listening to Ice Cube records. My intent tonight was to work on developing an artwork campaign for a new artist (and personal friend of mine) who has officially joined the 907hiphop.com familia (Hellrazor, Blade Gang u filthy lil monkeys!), upload my new song to soundcloud (now that my stoned ass has let that slip, i will have to wait til early Friday morning to upload) #likeAnyoneReallyCaresright? and listen to some new leaks from cyber world (that Smoke DZA/Lex Luger joints goes hard in the daint!) but now i'm about to do this... Log off, close my lap top, plug in my iphone, kick off my camo cargo shorts i love more than anything, eat this remaining strawberry pop tart and pass the fuck out! Nothing done. Voila!

I'll make up for it tomorrow. (Unless i get high again)

There's a lot of mixtape DJ's out there. Yet, 97% of them don't even really DJ. They play new records, add some effects & vocal tags and call themselves real DJ's... It's quite sad actually. DJ Green Lantern however, is not one of them. He is, in my opinion, one of the best mixtape DJ's for the fact he actually makes original beats & knows how to make high quality blends (Blends aka Mixes aka taking vocals from one record and blending them over other instrumentals, sometimes using his own production) and if that wasn't enough to sell you on the fact that he is a master at his craft. Here's a lil hip hop nerd question for ya. Name another DJ who's been the official tour DJ for both Eminem and Jay-Z as well as Nas? Go ahead, i'll wait.... yeah, exactly. Dude is the real deal! Well, not necessarily rehab as in a 12 step program somewhere in Palm Springs in an awesome living facility surrounded by counselors & nurses tellin me I have so much more living to do, more so a 6-8 week hitch on the top of Alaska in a place called Prudhoe Bay (AKA The North Slope) in a man camp surrounded by dirty old men, a few native ladies and a few young pipeliners such as myself. (For those who didn't know, I DO have a real legitimate job. Rapping, Blogging & Bingo does not pay the bills let alone fund this somewhat expensive lifestyle & rap habit of mine. Yeah kids, The Tubbster is a tax paying man who has a real job. Sorry if I let you down just now)

For the last several years, this has been my life. I work up north, make some $$$ then take a few months off and live my lil dream life. When the money gets low, back up I go... and repeat. It's nice. I like it up here. I get to get away from my fast pace life, and all the craziness that comes with it (Hence, why I call it...rehab.) and make some money while doing so. So for the next 6-8 weeks (give or take) I will make some perrrrrrty good money, i'll get to clear my mind, get my fat ass back on the treadmill I've been neglecting for the last month or so, write some new music, blog (yes, obviously by you reading this, it should be apparent that i do have internet access) and prepare for what will be, what I like to call "The Summer of Tubby" (a new album, "Even When I Lie", a promo tour, as yet to be named, and numerous video/musical projects to be filmed/recorded/produced upon my return). Expect a new song "Power" to be released on 4/1/11, followed by another song with 2 long time friends of mine, shortly after. Oh yeah, and a new podcast is on the way (Still editing). Now if you'll excuse me. I'ma get on the treadmill and dream about drugs, and Taco Bell. Speak (blog) to you soon. :)
